Beyond the standard product list.
New product types in two months.
A next-generation gaming brand came to ReferOn with products that did not exist in any affiliate platform’s product list particularly focused on player versus player. Two months later, they did.

Background
Preparing to scale affiliate acquisition. The brand needed product-level tracking and rewards in place before pushing volume.
Challenge
Affiliate platforms are built around a fixed product list: casino, sport, poker, and a few more. PVP products did not fit any existing category.
- No product category meant no product-level reporting for PVP games
- Affiliates could not see which product actually drove their numbers
- Reward plans could not be split or conditioned by distinctive products
- Bundling PVP revenue into “casino” or “sport” would distort every report downstream
Why the usual approach fails
Most vendors offer the same workaround: map the new revenue into the closest existing category and live with the noise. That works until the first serious reconciliation. For a brand whose core products are PVP, it was a non-starter
Goals
The brand needed the program live without compromising on product data:
- Launch the affiliate program without waiting for full product coverage
- Get PVP products tracked and rewarded as first-class products
- Keep reporting clean at product level for both the operator and its affiliates
- Avoid one-off hacks that would break with the next product launch
Success criteria
A live program on day 10, with PVP products fully supported in tracking, reporting, and reward logic within the following months
Solution
ReferOn did not treat the request as an exception to patch. The team proposed a phased plan: onboard the brand on existing product types first, then extend the platform itself.
Standard onboarding
Real-time tracking, reward logic, and reporting live from day one
New system logic
Any onboarding brand can now define its own product category
Two new product types
Built into reporting, reward plans, and affiliate dashboards
Current product availability on the platform: Sport, Casino, Live Casino, Poker, Lottery, and now more PVP products.
Implementation
- Onboarding timeline. 10 days for the core integration.
- Team involvement. A dedicated integration engineer, plus UI/UX, backend, and frontend developers on the ReferOn side.
- Customization. In the two months following the initial request, ReferOn built and launched new PVP products, by introducing new system logic that lets any onboarding brand define its own product category.
Why it worked
ReferOn didn’t just integrate the brand. It extended the platform itself to support entirely new product categories, making future onboarding faster and more flexible for every partner after them
Results
The brand launched on time and grew into full product coverage without a single migration or re-integration. Affiliates see PVP performance as clearly as casino or sport. And what started as one client’s request became a platform capability that speeds up every non-standard onboarding after it.

“Most providers told us our products didn’t fit their system. ReferOn changed the system. Two months after our request, both PVP products were live in reporting and rewards.”

What’s next
As the brand adds new game formats, product categories can now be defined at onboarding level, with no platform work required. The next phase focuses on product-specific deal structures and deeper funnel reporting per product.
